Isn't it strange how RM20 seems like a large amount
when we give to the offering bucket,
but such a small amount when we go shopping?
Isn't it strange how 2 hours seem so long
when we are in the mosque,
and how short they seem when we are watching movie?
Isn't it strange that we can't find a word
when we are praying,
but we have no trouble thinking what to talk about with friends?
Isn't it strange how difficult it is to read one juzu' of the Quran,
but how easy it is to finish 400 pages of Dan Brown's book?
Isn't it strange how we want front-row-ticket to concerts or games,
but we do whatever it is possible to sit at the back row in the mosque?
Isn't it strange how we need to know about an Islamic event a 2-3 weeks before the day so we can include it in our agenda,
but we can adjust it for other events in the last minute?
Isn't it strange how difficult it is to learn a fact about our religion and share it with others,
but how easy it is to learn, understand, and repeat the gossips?
Isn't it strange how we all want a place in heaven,
but we don't want to do or say anything to get there?
How I have taken Allah for granted in so many things. :(
